Jakarta’s equestrian athlete, Alston Stephanus (22), is not only able to ride horses, but behind that ability; he has another talent that demands high creativity, which is designing accessories.

“Since I was young, I liked to dress up my friends for their special events. Gradually, my hobby grew until I noticed that I needed to create my own accessories company based on what I loved to do,” said a man who was born on February, 10.

That moment came when Alston, a graduate of Falco (Horse) Riding School, was offered the opportunity to work with famous designer, Taruna K. Kusmayandi, in his upcoming fashion show. “Kusmayandi saw the accessories that I made. He said that my work was unique and luxurious,” said the winner of the bronze medal in PON Kalimantan Timur.

The result was not disappointing. After the fashion show, Alston became a very busy designer. He has since partnered with famous celebrity designers such as Anne Avantie, Raden Sirait, Hengki Kawilarang, and Rudy Chandra.

“Besides working with Siti Nurhaliza and Vina Panduwinata, my favorite accessories memory has been to design for Nadine Chandrawinata, for the Miss Universe 2006 pageant competition in Los Angeles,” said this student of Regents America College London.
